This seminar will discuss the warning signs specific to this demographic, as well as physical and psychological aspects of substance abuse among older adults. The speaker will also define identification and treatment for alcohol misuse and how to address these concerns with a loved one or client.
This educational session offers 1 CE credit for social workers and counselors. Nurses will receive a certificate they can present to their board.
This event includes lunch in the attendance fee.

About the Presenter Earlene Dula is a small business owner with a demonstrated history of working in organizational leadership with combined knowledge and experience equivalent to Master's Degree. She’s held several leadership roles with a local non-profit where she supervised clinical and operational staff who worked with dually diagnosed clients and criminal offenders. Certified by the Ohio Chemical Dependency Board, Earlene trains and assist those with a desire to enter the Substance Use field obtain their certification. She’s Studied Business Administration at Northern Kentucky University with a focus on business development and currently holds a Master Level Trainer Certification from Xavier University.
In addition, Earlene is dually certified as an Instructor Licensed to teach Basic Life Support and CPR from the American Heart Association. Her passion is working with students entering the nursing field.
